Shehroze Kashif Conquers Yet Another Milestone with a Successful Ascent of Mount Manaslu

Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif’s unwavering determination led to another remarkable achievement as he successfully reached the summit of Nepal’s towering Mount Manaslu, standing at a towering 8,163 meters. Karrar Haidri, the Secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, extended his congratulations, stating, “Congratulations to Shehroze on his amazing feat of climbing the eighth-highest mountain in the world, Manaslu. He is now the youngest climber to reach the summit of 12 summits over 8000 meters. It is truly amazing.”

He further commended Shehroze’s dedication and the tremendous support he received from all quarters. Haidri expressed his hope for a safe descent for Shehroze and wished him luck on his forthcoming adventures.

This achievement comes two years after Shehroze’s initial ascent of Mount Manaslu in September 2021, although it was later discovered that he had missed the actual summit point.

The BARD Foundation, which sponsors Shehroze’s expeditions, also celebrated his triumphant summit of Mount Manaslu on September 20, 2023, at 5:01 AM PST. They expressed immense pride in this significant step toward Shehroze’s dream of becoming the youngest mountaineer to conquer all 14 of the world’s tallest peaks.

Born on March 11, 2002, Shehroze has a history of breaking records and achieving remarkable milestones in mountaineering. He became the world’s youngest climber to summit K2 on July 27, 2021, and the youngest Pakistani to conquer Mount Everest on May 11, 2021. Following his successful Mount Everest summit, the Sports Board Punjab appointed him as the youth ambassador of Punjab. Shehroze’s mountaineering journey began at the age of 11, with Makra Peak as his first conquest, followed by Musa ka Musalla and Chembra Peak at age 12, Mingli Sar in Shimshal at 13, Khurdopin Pass at 15, and Khosar Gang in alpine style at 18.

Shehroze currently holds two Guinness World Records for being the youngest to climb K2 and the youngest to conquer Broad Peak. In 2022, he achieved the remarkable feat of summiting Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak, on May 5, and Mount Lhotse, the fourth-highest, on May 16. On November 1, 2022, Guinness World Records recognized Shehroze for his 2023 achievements, including Mount Everest and K2.

In May 2023, he successfully summited Nepal’s Mount Dhaulagiri, the world’s seventh-highest peak.

Despite a brief period of going missing between Camp 4 and Camp 3 while summiting Nanga Parbat in July 2022, Shehroze and his climbing partner Fazal Ali were soon located. Shehroze remains resolute in his quest to summit all peaks above 8,000 meters before the end of the year.
