Government of Sindh on Friday announced public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha from July 20 to 22, throughout the province of Sindh for all government offices, autonomous bodies and corporations.
A notification issued to this effect said that the public holidays are announced for all organizations under the administrative control of Government of Sindh, except essential services, the departments and offices engaged in prevention and control of Covid-19 emergency.
The State Bank of Pakistan also on Thursday announced 3 day public holidays from July 20, 2021 on account of Eid-ul-Azha 1442 A.H.
Bank Holidays for Eid Ul Azha 2021
According to a circular letter issued here by Banking Policy and Regulations Department of SBP, the central bank would remain closed from 20th to 22nd July, 2021 (Tuesday to Thursday).
All the banks, Micro Finance Banks and Development Finance Institutions would observe Eid-ul-Azha holidays on the announced dates as well.
When is Eid Ul Azha 2021 being celebrated?
Eidul Azha will be celebrated across the country on July 21, (Wednesday) as the crescent moon of Zil Hajj was not sighted anywhere in the country.
A notification of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony quoting the decision of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad said the month of Zil Hajj would commence from Monday, July 12, 2021.
