Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed stated on Tuesday that, starting in 2024, a stringent monitoring system has been implemented for private Hajj tour operators to enhance pilgrim support. Furthermore, a smart app has been introduced to effectively register complaints from Hujjaj.
In a conversation with a private channel, he directed the ministries of Religious Affairs and Information Technology to develop a mobile application and website to assist Hujjaj in registering their complaints.
He explained that pilgrims can now download the smart pilgrim app, which offers a range of services directly on their smartphones. This app enables them to communicate with their Hajj service providers to report any violations or file complaints.
Aneeq Ahmed assured that the Hajj directorate is committed to providing comprehensive training and facilities to pilgrims, ensuring they encounter no difficulties during the Hajj pilgrimage.
He emphasized that strict action would be taken against private tour operators if any complaints arise. He urged all individuals and companies involved to refrain from engaging in any unlawful activities.
He concluded by stating that the ministry would personally oversee all aspects of the Hajj arrangements this year and work tirelessly to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free experience for all pilgrims.
