The outrageous and breathtaking car Proton X70 got unveiled in Pakistan. The Malaysian SUV Proton X70 is one of its kind and it surely has got a personality and class to talk about. Let’s not beat around the bush and head to unveil Proton X70 in this piece of writing.
Interior of SUV Proton X70:
As the XC70 will be a CBU, most of the features and options available in a Malaysian vehicle will be included. Since the CBU will be specifically made for Pakistan, the difference in features is likely, but it is expected to be similar to the overseas model at launch. There will be leather in all three CBU variants for PK. There will also be Nappa leather in the Luxury edition. On top of the line Premium model, the panoramic sunroof will be available.
The digital LCD dashboard cluster on all trims will be standard. It is also available to control steering wheels, push-button start, and welcome lights, power-folding mirrors, day-night rearview mirror. Power windows, customizable seats for power drivers, which are also ventilated. On all trims that also have air purification systems, dual-zone climate control with rear vents is also standard.
Exterior of SUV Proton X70:
The base model has DRL halogen headlights, while the upper trims will have LEDs, and these will be an auto dip and high function adaptive headlights. The car is a Geely Boyue-based car, but there is a different grill on the front called “infinite weave grill” to give it a Proton face.
The traditional woodwork and carving, which is popular in Malaysia, inspired this. The rear bumper uses LED taillights and two exhaust tips. A standard rear screen wiper and spoiler with a lamp stop. Rails for the roof will be ordinary.
Main Features and Specifications:
The following are the main specifications and features of Proton X70;
Engine:
The vehicle comes with a 1500cc Turbocharged Gasoline-Direct Engine, producing 177 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque.
Seating Capacity:
The new compact SUV has space for 5 passengers.
Dimensions:
4519mm long, 1831mm wide and 1694mm high is the latest car. In addition, the vehicle has a Kerb weight of 1625 kilos.
CBU Vs. CKD:
The CBU units will initially be sold in the local market, according to company sources. Meanwhile, in April 2021, the company will launch CKD operations.
LCD and Infotainment:
The standard LCD touchscreen infotainment device for music streaming with mobile phone connectivity. The infotainment system is a smart voice recognition system called GKUI [Geely Smart Ecosystem infotainment system], and you can order those functions from the car. Like even adjusting the settings for climate control.
It will be a 4G WIFI capable device with a GSM SIM slot and it is possible to add those online functionalities into the vehicle. The Proton connect software can be used to monitor unique vehicle features remotely. There will be 8 regular speakers and there will also be 8 luxury versions with amplifier and sub-woofer.
This is a regular 5 seat vehicle and there is no way to make it 7 for 2 extra seats. For greater cargo space, however, the second-row seats can be folded down. On all planned base models and with a foot sensor on the premium model, the power tailgate will be available.
Again, all this is on CBU we are getting as launch and introduction. Let’s hope when Al-Haj assembles it locally, we see all these features carried over.
Drivetrain and Other Components:
Disc brakes and ABS all over. McPherson front while the rear suspension is Multi-link. Electric power steering would be normal with the E-brake. For PK units, standard alloy wheels of 225/60/18 will be eligible, although in Malaysia even 1 “is available on the Premium model.” For local road conditions, I am sure Proton will pick the correct size.
Price Of SUV Proton X70:
The price would be revealed during the car’s digital launch and that is on December 18.
