The third edition of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition concluded on a triumphant note, attracting a staggering number of nearly 100,000 visitors from approximately 100 countries. This global convergence of enthusiasts was orchestrated by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Programme, a vital component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative. The event, held at the impressive Jeddah Superdome, garnered significant attention and acclaim, according to a report by Arab News.
During the event’s closing ceremony, Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, seized the opportunity to announce a groundbreaking platform aimed at training and licensing workers in the field. Dr. Mashat also emphasized the creation of a competitive environment, signaling the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing the quality of services and experiences related to Hajj and Umrah.
In a parallel effort to foster global unity, Dr. Awwad bin Sabti Al-Anzi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, met with the 15th batch of international guests hosted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Umrah. Comprising 250 visitors from 14 Asian countries, this diverse group was warmly received in Makkah.
Dr. Al-Anzi expressed the significance of such programs, stating, “The program confirms the Kingdom’s leading role when it comes to serving Islam and Muslims and providing Muslims with the opportunity of performing Umrah and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque to help bring them together.”
The successful gathering not only showcased Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving Islam but also demonstrated its leadership in promoting unity and facilitating enriching experiences for pilgrims worldwide.
