USA, China and UK remain top 3 destinations of Pakistani exports

The United States remained the top export destinations of Pakistani products during the first seven months of financial year (2021-22), followed by China and United Kingdom (UK).

Total exports to the USA during July-January (2021-22) were recorded at US $3862.642 million against the exports of US $2677.208 million during July-January (2020-21), showing growth of 44.27 percent, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

This was followed by China, wherein Pakistan exported goods worth $1588.763 million against the exports of $1026.951 million last year, showing increase of 54.70 percent.

UK was the at third top export destination, where Pakistan exported products worth $1309.387 million during the months under review against the exports of $1135.318 million, showing growth of 15.33 percent, SBP data revealed.

Among other countries, Pakistani exports to UAE stood at $996.563 million against $823.631 million during last year, showing an increase of 20.99 percent while the exports to Germany were recorded at $992.237 million against $873.259 million last year, the data said.

During July-January (2021-22), the exports to Holland were recorded $799.691 million against $617.931 million whereas the exports to Italy stood at $569.863 million against $415.005 million.

Pakistan’s exports to Spain were recorded at $606.255 million against the exports of $439.309 million while the exports to Afghanistan were recorded $257.644 million against $ 544.113 million last year.

The exports to Bangladesh stood at $483.276 million against $323.229 million, showing growth of 49.51 percent, according to SBP.

Similarly, the exports to France during the months under review were recorded at $297.989 million against $255.567 million while the exports to Belgium stood at $405.206 million against $309.474 million.

Pakistan’s exports to Saudi Arabia were recorded at $227.986 million during the current year compared to $276.108 million last year whereas the exports to Canada stood at $222.800 million against $197.043, to Malaysia $230.762 million against $106.071 million.

Overall Pakistan’s exports to all other countries witnessed an increase of 27.36 percent during the months under review, from $13.914 billion to $17.722 billion, the SBP data revealed.
