The TV series Yunus Emre: Aşkin Yolculuğu means “The journey of love” falls under the genre of Historical fiction and Sufism. It is a Turkish biographical historical television series. The tv series came on-air on TRT 1, which is the first Turkish national TV network. Also, it came on screens on June 18, 2015. The series rings around Yunus, who was a 4th century Anatolian Sufi poet. He immensely influenced the Anatolian culture.
Who was Yunus Emre?
With due respect, Yunus Emre was also known as Derviş Yunus, which means Yunus the Dervish. He was born in 1238 and died in 1320. Also, he was a Turkish folk poet and Sufi mystic. Moreover, he was very much influenced by Turkish culture. Also, at an early stage of modern Turkish, he wrote in the Old Anatolian Turkish language.
